The baristas here take pride in crafting the perfect cup of coffee, paired with an enticing array of dishes that cater to all tastes, including an impressive selection of gluten-free options.

The menu is a delightful mix of breakfast, light meals, and other hearty choices, with the Byron Benny standing out as a crowd favorite. Imagine succulent poached eggs nestled on a bed of crispy, golden-brown toast, all draped in a velvety hollandaise sauce. For those who crave something heartier, the Big Breakfast offers a generous plateful of mouthwatering breakfast staples, from crispy bacon to grilled tomatoes. And if you have a sweet tooth, the French Toast topped with fresh fruit and a drizzle of maple syrup is a must-try, sure to leave you dreaming of your next visit.

But what truly sets Byron Perry Cafe apart are its people. The staff embody warmth and kindness, as echoed through customer reviews. One guest, Kristy Hunter, shares, “Not only is the food great, but the staff are really kind and friendly too.” Such genuine care is shown in every interaction, whether they are assisting with your meal choice or ensuring your belongings are safe, as they did for another patron who left behind a handbag.

Moreover, the cafe excels in delivering scrumptious treats beyond traditional meals. Their gelato is a standout, leaving one visitor, Freya Proctor, raving that it was the best she had ever tasted. A testament to the care for community, the staff generously offered gelato to a family in need of kindness during a tough time.

Whether it’s fueling a busy day with their Bacon and Egg Roll or indulging in a tasty Lamb Burger for lunch, every dish is crafted with love and consideration for quality. And, as John Drew aptly describes, it’s a place free of pretenses where “honest prices meet good quality food.”

So, next time you find yourself in Mudgee, make sure to stop by Byron Perry Cafe. Savor the delicious food, soak in the friendly atmosphere, and understand why so many locals and visitors alike call it a must-visit spot.

This cafe is sensational. The food is really yummy and the fact that they are accredited by Coeliac Australia made me feel comfortable in eating there. Not only is the food great, but the staff are really kind and friendly too. I accidentally left my handbag behind and they found it and kept it safe for me until I could come back and collect it, even though it was after hours! Lovely people, lovely food

The Gelato was the best I have ever eaten! Glenn was exceptionally kind to our family after the passing of a dear family member, offering our gelato for free. This generosity is few and far between in 2025 but nevertheless most appreciated. We will be back!

Relaxed and great place to catch up. No pretences. Just honest prices and good quality food. Eggs Benny with pulled beef brisket for $20 must be the bargain of the century. Recommended by a local.

Could not fault this venue. LOTS of gluten free options. We had the wagyu beef burger and the muffin with eggs. Absolutely delicious! Two old-school iced coffees. Went for a walk then returned for gelato. Lime and strawberry in parfait glass for me. Butterscotch in gf cone for my friend. BEST GELATO I’ve had in by travels around Australia. Fruity, tangy and refreshing!!

Absolutely amazing food and service at Byron Perry! Love this place! Had the BLAT for lunch with a coffee and it was fantastic, so fresh and filling. Only down side was it was so filling I couldn’t fit in a delicious gelato! A favourite afternoon treat! Highly recommend
